Agenda

Today's session will be structured around the 3 parts of The 21st Century Classroom presentation (Design, Tools, Management) as well as following the MYP Technology Design Cycle, with opportunities for participants to work in groups, but come back to the larger whole at the beginning of each stage of the cycle for tips, strategies and introductions to the various tools needed.


9:00 - 9:15: Warm-up , share burning questions, create groups (by experience, grade level/subject, or tool/idea)

  • UBD Overview/Refresher
  • Begin your UbD unit planner for one unit by determining standards, Essential Questions & Enduring understandings
  • Google Doc
  • Template Instructions:
  • To create a new page using the template, click on "New Page" at left, and select "Start with Page Template: UbD_Planner" as shown below:

  • When you create your page, make sure to save the Page Name as your name.
  • Once you've created your template, link it to the projects page

  • Work in groups/teams to create the "home base" for their project, using any of these tools (or more!)
  • Complete your UbD Template page with a final project idea

2:15 - 2:45: Evaluate: Share projects with the larger group, reflect on process so far & what needs to go next

2:45 - 3:00: Feedback survey , links to all projects on the wiki, any final questions answered.
